Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-28

Introduction

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Stratara, a closed beta esports scouting, discovery, messaging, tryout, and recruiting workflow platform.

Stratara is currently operated by Jefferson Cavalcanti, an individual based in Portugal. References to Stratara, we, us, or our refer to this operator unless and until the service is transferred to a legal entity.

By creating an account, accessing the platform, or using any Stratara feature, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use Stratara.

Closed Beta Service

Stratara is currently a closed beta product provided for testing, feedback, bug reporting, validation of product features, and early recruiting workflow experiments.

During the beta, access may be limited to invited users, test accounts, early partners, selected players, and selected organizations. Features may change, be unavailable, contain bugs, or be removed without notice.

Beta data, profiles, applications, tryouts, messages, notes, recommendations, rankings, or other content may be corrected, reset, restricted, or deleted where necessary for testing, safety, legal, operational, or security reasons.

The beta is currently free of charge. Future paid plans, premium features, recommendations, visibility tools, or subscriptions may be introduced under separate terms.

Eligibility and Minimum Age

You must be at least 16 years old to create or use a Stratara account.

By registering, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old, that the date of birth and account information you provide are accurate, and that you will not provide false information to bypass age, identity, or safety restrictions.

If we discover or reasonably suspect that you are under 16, provided false age information, or created an account in breach of these Terms, we may suspend or delete your account.

Users aged 16 or 17 may use Stratara, including messaging and recruiting workflows, but all users and organizations must follow the safety, conduct, and acceptable use rules in these Terms.

Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure, for all activity under your account, and for the accuracy of information you submit.

You must not impersonate another person, player, organization, team, scout, coach, or Riot account. You must not create fake organizations, fake player profiles, or misleading recruiting opportunities.

You must not share your account with unauthorized users, use another person's account without permission, or bypass access controls, beta restrictions, bans, suspensions, or platform limitations.

Acceptance and Updates

You may be required to accept these Terms during registration, including by selecting a checkbox or similar confirmation.

The current Terms will remain available in the application, including through account settings or another accessible area of the platform.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we may notify users through the platform, Discord, or another reasonable communication channel. Continued use of Stratara after updated Terms become effective means that you accept the updated Terms.

Nature of the Platform

Stratara is a recruiting workflow, discovery, profile, messaging, and tryout organization platform for esports players and organizations.

Stratara may help users create player or organization profiles, discover players and teams, submit or receive applications, exchange messages, organize tryout scheduling, record tryout outcomes, display profile information, and verify certain profile elements where available.

Stratara does not act as an agent, employer, club, team representative, contract broker, lawyer, legal adviser, financial adviser, or payment intermediary.

Any tryout, signing, contract, transfer, compensation, salary, benefit, team commitment, or other agreement between a player and an organization is solely between those parties. Stratara does not draft, review, validate, enforce, guarantee, or approve contracts or payments.

A player status such as signed, not signed, paused, or similar is a platform workflow or profile signal only. It does not prove the existence, legality, enforceability, or terms of any external agreement.

Organization Accounts and Verification

Organizations may be asked to provide information such as a public website, social media page, team page, Discord presence, or other external link to support verification.

Organization verification means only that Stratara performed a limited manual review of information submitted by the organization. Verification does not guarantee legal incorporation, trademark ownership, financial capacity, professionalism, payment ability, safe conduct, contract validity, or suitability for any player.

Verified organizations must still comply with these Terms. Verified status may be removed, and verified accounts may be warned, restricted, suspended, or banned if they violate these Terms or create safety, legal, abuse, spam, fraud, or platform integrity risks.

User Content

You may submit, upload, publish, send, or store content through Stratara, including profile information, posts, images, banners, avatars, clips, VOD links, Riot-related identifiers, rank information, applications, messages, tryout notes, private notes, public notes, organization information, vacancies, and other materials.

You retain ownership of your content. However, by submitting content to Stratara, you grant Stratara a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, display, reproduce, modify for formatting, transmit, and make available your content as necessary to operate, secure, improve, and provide the service.

You are responsible for your content and confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit it.

You must not submit content that is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, threatening, harassing, abusive, hateful, discriminatory, exploitative, malicious, misleading, infringing, or unsafe.

Acceptable Use

You must not use Stratara to violate applicable law, harass or abuse others, impersonate users or organizations, create fake recruiting opportunities, spam applications or messages, upload harmful content, scrape platform data, bypass access controls, or interfere with platform systems.

You must not submit unlawful, confidential, discriminatory, irrelevant, excessive, or highly sensitive personal data in public fields, messages, notes, tryout fields, or other free-text areas.

You must not use Stratara for non-recruiting solicitation, scams, gambling, adult content, malware, phishing, unrelated commercial activity, or conduct that harms the safety, privacy, integrity, or reputation of the platform or its users.

Recruiting Data and Tryouts

Applications, tryouts, messages, saved players, saved vacancies, notes, outcomes, and recruiting workflow data must be used only for legitimate esports recruiting, team-management, scouting, and related platform purposes.

Organizations must handle player information fairly, respectfully, confidentially, and only for relevant recruiting purposes.

Organizations must not create fake opportunities, pressure players into off-platform arrangements, misrepresent team status or payment, collect irrelevant personal data, discriminate against users, or misuse notes, messages, or tryout workflows.

Players must not submit false applications, impersonate other players, falsify rank or experience, spam organizations, or misrepresent commitments.

Private Notes and Sensitive Data

Stratara may allow organizations to store private notes and tryout notes, and may allow certain public or player-visible notes or outcomes.

Organizations are responsible for the content of notes they create. Notes should be factual, relevant, proportionate, and connected to legitimate recruiting or tryout evaluation.

Private notes, public notes, tryout notes, messages, and free-text fields must not be used to store unlawful, discriminatory, defamatory, irrelevant, excessive, or highly sensitive personal data, including health data, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion or beliefs, sexual orientation, criminal allegations, financial details, government identifiers, private family information, or abusive judgments.

Messaging and Communications

Stratara may provide private messaging between users, including players and organizations. Messages must be used for legitimate platform-related communication, such as recruiting, applications, tryouts, scheduling, profile discussion, and team-management purposes.

You must not use messages to harass, threaten, exploit, groom, abuse, spam, scam, phish, send malware, request highly sensitive personal information, pressure users into unsafe off-platform contact, or bypass bans, reports, safety controls, or moderation.

Messages are intended to be private between participants, but Stratara may access, review, preserve, disclose, or use message content where reasonably necessary to provide support, investigate reports, enforce these Terms, protect users, maintain security, comply with law, or defend legal claims.

Minors and Safety

Stratara does not allow users under 16.

Users aged 16 or 17 may use the platform, but all users must treat younger users with additional care and must not exploit, pressure, manipulate, groom, harass, or request inappropriate personal information from them.

Organizations and adult users must keep communication professional, relevant, and limited to legitimate recruiting, tryout, and team-management purposes.

If we receive a report or reasonably suspect that a user is under 16, is at risk, or is involved in unsafe conduct, we may restrict, suspend, or delete accounts, preserve relevant evidence, contact affected users, or take other safety measures.

External Links, Clips, VODs, and Discord

Stratara may allow users to add external links, including clips, VODs, websites, social profiles, Discord links, and other third-party resources.

External links are provided by users or third parties. Stratara is not responsible for third-party websites, content, moderation, availability, security, privacy practices, or terms.

You must not submit malicious, misleading, phishing, scam, exploitative, adult, illegal, or unsafe links.

Discord support and community channels may be used for beta support, reporting, communication, and announcements. Discord is a third-party service and remains subject to Discord's own terms and privacy policy. Users should not submit sensitive personal data through public Discord channels.

Riot Games and Third Parties

Stratara is not endorsed by Riot Games and does not reflect the views or opinions of Riot Games or anyone officially involved in producing or managing Riot Games properties.

Riot Games, League of Legends, VALORANT, Riot ID, related game data, rank assets, role assets, and other Riot-related materials remain the property of Riot Games or their respective owners.

Riot identifiers, rank information, and game-related data may be used only where relevant to account verification, profile accuracy, recruiting features, or platform functionality.

Availability and accuracy of Riot-related features may depend on Riot approval, Riot APIs, Riot policies, user authorization, and third-party service availability. Stratara does not guarantee that Riot-related data is always accurate, current, complete, or available.

Recommendations and Premium Features

Stratara may introduce recommendations, ranking, premium visibility, profile signals, verification signals, or other discovery tools.

Such features are informational and platform-specific. They do not guarantee employment, signing, tryouts, visibility, ranking position, contract offers, or recruiting outcomes.

Stratara may change, remove, limit, or adjust recommendation, ranking, premium, or discovery systems at any time, especially during beta.

Reporting and Moderation

Users may report content, accounts, messages, profiles, organizations, vacancies, links, or behavior that may violate these Terms or applicable law.

Reports may be submitted through in-app reporting tools, Discord support channels, or other official channels made available by Stratara.

We may review reports and take action including no action, warning, content removal, visibility restriction, feature restriction, account suspension, account termination, removal of verified status, preservation of evidence, or referral to appropriate authorities where legally required or appropriate.

Moderation decisions may consider context, severity, repeated behavior, user safety, platform integrity, legal risk, and beta administration needs.

Suspension, Termination, and Appeals

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account or access to Stratara if we believe that you violated these Terms, your account creates legal or safety risk, you provided false information, you are under 16, you misused recruiting data, or continued access is not appropriate during the closed beta.

Where reasonable, we may issue a warning before suspension or termination, but we are not required to do so.

If your account is suspended or banned, you may submit an appeal within 14 days of receiving notice of the action, unless the notice states a different period. Appeals must include relevant context, your account information, and any explanation or evidence you want us to consider.

Appeals may be submitted through the official Stratara Discord support channels or another official support channel designated by Stratara. We will review appeals in good faith, but we are not required to reinstate any account.

Account Deletion and Data Requests

You may request deletion of your account through the settings area of the application, where available.

You may also have rights under applicable data protection law, including rights to access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, and portability of personal data. These rights are explained in the Privacy Policy.

Account deletion may remove or anonymize your profile and associated data, but some information may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, audit logs, or defense of legal claims.

Intellectual Property

Stratara, including its software, interface, design, branding, logos, features, workflows, databases, and original content, is owned by Stratara or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from Stratara except as permitted by law or with our written permission.

All third-party trademarks, game names, logos, assets, and materials remain the property of their respective owners.

No Warranties

Stratara is provided on an as is and as available basis, especially during beta.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of availability, reliability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, security, and error-free operation.

We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that beta data will always be preserved, that profiles or ranks will be accurate, that users or organizations will behave lawfully, or that any player or organization will achieve any recruiting outcome.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stratara and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, loss of opportunity, loss of data, reputational harm, recruiting outcomes, contract disputes, missed tryouts, failed signings, or issues arising from user conduct or third-party services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stratara and its operator from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your content, your misuse of recruiting data, messages, notes, or tryout workflows, your violation of another person's rights, your violation of law, or disputes between you and another user, player, organization, team, or third party.

Support and Contact

During the closed beta, support is provided through the official Stratara Discord support channels.

Legal, safety, abuse, account, moderation, and privacy-related requests may also be directed through the official support channel designated by Stratara.

Users should not submit sensitive personal data through public Discord channels.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without prejudice to any mandatory rights you may have under applicable European Union or consumer protection law.

Any disputes relating to these Terms or Stratara will be subject to the competent courts of Portugal, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms that apply to specific features, form the agreement between you and Stratara regarding use of the service.

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply.
